Jessica M. Warren – our Austin attorney  

Jessica M. Warren obtained her undergraduate degree in 1992 from the University of Texas at Austin, where she majored in an honors program called Plan II  She went on to Baylor Law School and graduated in 1995.  While at Baylor, Jessica was named the “Thomas R. Phillips Scholar”.

After graduating, Jessica began her legal career in Houston, Texas litigating products liability claims.  Jessica moved back to Austin, Texas in 1998 and began her transition to the practice of estate planning and probate in 2004.  Jessica first opened the doors to the Law Office of Jessica M. Warren, PC in 2010.

Jessica is licensed to practice law in all Texas state courts, as well as the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas, and the United States Tax Court.

Jessica has been named as a Five Star Wealth Advisor in 2012, 2013 and 2014.  Jessica has also been named as a Five Star Estate Planning Attorney in 2014.  The selection is based upon numerous criteria including peer reviews.  Jessica has given several speeches on the topic of estate planning and probate issues, including the following:

  • Fiduciary Duties of a Trustee presented to the Travis County Women Lawyers and Solo and Small Firm Section of the Austin Bar Association (2008)
  • Speaker to the Economic Business Growth Incubator (EBGI) of the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce on the topic of
    Organizing Your Business (2012 & 2013)
  • Preparing Your Estate Plan presented to the Texas Minority Attorney Program, State Bar of Texas  (2013) 
  • When There Is Not a Will – Intermediate Estate Planning and Probate Course sponsored by the State Bar of Texas (2014)

 Jessica is currently an adjunct professor at Texas State University and teaches a course called Introduction to Fiduciary Law in the McCoy School of Business.

Jessica strongly believes in the commitment to give back to the community.  Over the years,  Jessica has served on several non-profit boards, including the Travis County Women Lawyers Foundation and the Legal Services to the Poor in Civil Matters subcommittee of the State Bar of Texas.  Jessica is currently serving on the Board of the Estate Planning and Probate Section of the Austin Bar Association and is a member of the College of the State Bar of Texas.

 

Amanda K. Lewis – our Dripping Springs attorney

LEWISAmanda Lewis graduated Magna cum Laude with a  Bachelors of Science in Political Science from Texas Wesleyan University in 1997 and graduated from Baylor Law School in 2000 where she served as on the Law Review and The Moot Court Society. She also received the Edwin Horner Oil and Gas award and Dean’s list in spring of 1999 and spring of 2000.  After graduating from law school, Amanda spent one year as a briefing attorney for the Honorable Wanda McKee Fowler on the Fourteenth Court of Appeals in Houston, Texas.

In 2001, Amanda moved to Austin and practiced ligation for 6 years. In 2007, Amanda opened The Law Office of Amanda K. Lewis, PLLC focusing on real estate, probate and estate planning.  In 2012, Amanda began working with The Law Office of Jessica Warren, PC.

Amanda Lewis is a proven Texas attorney with over a decade of experience in estate planning, probate, litigation and appellate matters.

Following the admonition of her favorite lawyer, Abraham Lincoln, who said “Whatever you are, be a good one”, Amanda believes she must not only be good as a lawyer, but do good as well. As a result, Amanda volunteers for Dripping Springs Helping Hands, as well as a Bible storyteller at Austin Oaks Church, and as a regular classroom volunteer at Walnut Springs Elementary School.

Always a fan of music, Amanda is an aspiring songwriter and enjoys encouraging adults and children to write and play music.
